General Motors Corporation is an american concern, the manufacturer of trucks and cars, including the so-called light trucks.
In 1900 brothers Max and Morris Grabowski created first truck equipped with a horizontal single-cylinder engine for sale. In 1902 the company Rapid Motor Vehicle was founded, which began producing vehicles with single-cylinder engine. In 1908 William C. Durant created the “General Motors” company which bought Rapid Motor Vehicle and all other small auto companies in Michigan. In 1909 the first generation of GMC trucks was produced. And in 1916 “General Motors Corporation” was founded.
